As a sole racing authority in Korea by law, Korea Racing Authority has contributed to the national finances through horse racing and has improved a horse industry in Korea for more than 100 years. Since 2016, Korea’s horse racing has accomplished notable achievements such as elavated to PARTⅡ, making it to Dubai World Cup for the first time ever in Korean racing history. With our continuous efforts, there are more and more people in Korea who appreciate racing as a sport, a cultural activity, and a social event. I have no doubt that Korea’s racing standard will improve and our international reputation will be enhanced. Our endeavor to improve social welfare and fulfill our responsibility to local communities will continue in various ways. Thank you very much for visiting our website. However, just as other advanced countries are experiencing, horse racing in Korea is facing difficult challenges from various competitors such as the casino, other sports betting, and online gaming, etc. With these competitors very much on the increase, the KRA's efforts will be focused towards overcoming the challenges ahead. The KRA considers heralding the internationalization of Korean racing to be one of the best way to overcome the challenges.A long term, step-by-step strategies has been developed including such initiatives as raising the status of our feature races for acceptance in PART Ⅲ, Korean horses participating in international events and the hosting of international races.
